Looking Glass

I joined Looking Glass shortly after the launch of the Looking Glass Portrait in 2021. It was an ideal place to allow me to hone my 3D skillset while expanding upon it with more concerted software and hardware development. Upon joining Looking Glass I worked heavily on a variety of different projects spanning both software and hardware. I spearheaded Looking Glass Blocks, the company’s first cloud based platform designed for sharing holograms, a completely new media format. I also worked on a variety of hardware products including the Looking Glass 65” Looking Glass 27”, Looking Glass Go, and most recently the company’s latest lineup of Hololuminescent Displays.

My time at Looking Glass has me context switching often through many different tools and pipelines, from C++ and Python, to Typescript and WebGPU and integrations with 3D software like Blender and Unreal Engine, My job has always been to make Looking Glass’ technology accessible to as many 3D artists and creators as possible. We’ve also gotten to work with a variety of amazing clients, all pushing the limits of creativity and technology, including Pixar and Lucasfilm.

Bringing technology from the future into the hands of people today continues to be an incredibly rewarding and exciting experience, and every day there’s always something new to learn, as we say in hologram land #ToTheFuture!
